Also known as Chinese parsley or cilantro from the Spanish, coriander is a popular and widely used aromatic herb throughout the world. It has green foliage that resembles flat-leaf parsley, but its fresh scent is reminiscent of citrus. Everything in cilantro is consumed: root, stems, leaves and flowers. Sow cilantro continuously to ensure a summer-long supply.

Growing tips
Conditions of germination:
- depth of sowing: 5 mm
- optimal temperatures for germination: 13 to 21ºC
- time for germination: 10 to 14 days
When to sow:
- direct sowing after any risk of frost, when the soil is warm OR
indoor sowing 4 to 6 weeks before the last date in your area
Sowing technique: in line
Draw a line in the ground (in a pot or in the ground), then sow the seeds in it.
Transplant outdoors (for seedlings started indoors):
- When all risk of frost has been eliminated
Distance in the garden:
- between plants: 20 cm
- between rows: 30 to 45 cm
Height of the plants: 30 to 50 cm
Soil: rich and well drained
Exposure: sun or light shade
When to harvest: 25 days for young leaves, 50 days for mature leaves
