Viola X wittrockiana. A mix of rather large flowers “ink-blotted” of various colors, some bicolours, in shades of yellow, red, rose, purple, and white, with a velvety texture. These large pansies have a bushy habit and are frost-hardy. Considered hardy annual or short-lived perennial.

Growing tips
Conditions of germination:
- depth of sowing: 5 mm
- optimal temperatures of germination: 18 to 24 ºC
- time for germination: 14 to 21 days
- keep in the dark during germination
When to sow:
- Indoor sowing 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost date in your area.
OR - direct seeding in spring or early fall for flowering the following year in zones 4 and up
Sowing technique: broadcasting
- sprinkle the seeds on the ground then spread them as well as possible so that they do not overlap
Transplantation outside (for seedlings started inside):
- Harden-off seedlings before transplanting outside about 2 to 4 weeks before the last frost (early/mid-May).
Distance in the garden:
- between plants: 15-20 cm
Height of the plants: 20 cm
Soil: rich in organic matter, humid, well-drained
