Big pink-red fruits (250 g to 1 kg) flattened and ribbed with melting and juicy flesh, the Mémé de Beauce tomatoes are native to Canada. A few hundred seeds were found in 1995 in a house that had been uninhabited for 30 years and given to a man named Gérard Parent who managed to germinate three of them.
