Germination conditions:
- sowing depth: on the surface
- optimum germination temperature: 20ºC
- germination time: 7 to 14 days
When to sow:
- indoor sowing in February for first-year flowering OR
- direct sowing in spring or autumn for flowering the following year (in zone 4 and up)
Sowing technique: broadcast
sprinkle the seeds into the intended hole, in a container or in the ground, then spread them out as evenly as possible so that they don’t overlap.
Transplanting in the garden:
- when the soil has warmed up and there’s no longer any risk of frost
Distance in the garden: between plants: 15 cm
